What can GlassCount not assess?
Last updated July 12, 2026
In short
GlassCount counts your entries and displays self-chosen targets and history. It cannot measure blood alcohol or impairment, determine fitness to drive, diagnose a condition, assess medical risk or define a safe drinking amount. Those decisions require qualified professionals or choosing the safer option.
No statement about fitness to drive
A number of logged drinks cannot reliably show whether someone can drive or operate machinery. Never use GlassCount for that decision; when in doubt, do not drive.
No diagnosis or treatment
GlassCount does not diagnose or treat alcohol dependence, anxiety or any other condition. A history may prompt a conversation but cannot replace medical or psychological assessment.
No safe personal alcohol amount
A personal target makes a behavioral intention visible. It is not medical advice or proof of a risk-free amount. If you are concerned about drinking or symptoms, contact a doctor or alcohol support service.
